Forever Young

40 jaar...ja wat kan ik daarover zeggen. Het klinkt zo oud!! Vroeger waren vrouwen van 40 toch al oude mevrouwen? Gelukkig voel ik me nog niet zo. Meestal maken we geen foto's met een verjaardag, maar vorig jaar wel bij deze mijlpaal. 

Voor de challenge van Scrap The Girls vond ik deze foto daarom ook zo goed passend! 

Alleen had ik meer moeite met het maken van de ondergrond. Ik wist niet welke kant ik op wilde ermee. Aanvakelijk begon ik heel kleurrijk, en met veel stempels, maar dat werd niet naar mijn zin, En toen bedacht ik me, ik ga gewoon nu beginnen met mijn gevoel, wat wil ik erop hebben. Dat werd de cupcake van Marianne Design, die wilde ik er echt op. En roze, want dat past toch wel echt bij mij. Toen ik verschillende roze papiertjes had gevonden, keek ik nog eens goed naar de verschillende challenges die er momenteel zijn. En die van My Creative Scrapbook sprong er nu toch wel echt uit met die rondjes. Voor de ondergrond heb ik een papier met houtmotief van Noor gekozen. Hierop heb ik met mijn Gelliplate Student en Pink Raspberry Distress ink er een vierkant op gemaakt. Niet te fel, precies goed van kleur. Er hoefde van mij ook geen patroon in, omdat er toch van alles bovenop kwam. Wat ik wel leuk vind is dat de tekst en poststempels, die op het houtpapier zitten, er nu iets meer uitspringen. 

Omdat ik scrap op A5 formaat, vond ik het wat overdreven om 16 rondjes te doen, dus ik heb gekozen voor 9 rondjes. Eigenlijk 8, want die onder de foto zie je toch niet. Onder de foto heb ik nog 2 strookjes washitape met een zilver-wit patroon geplakt. Om het af te maken, nog een paar nietjes in 2 rondjes gedaan, een kleine label onder de foto en de tekst Hoera erbij gestanst. 

40 years already! Where have the time been? Women of 40 used to be sooo old, thankful I don't feel that old. Usealy we don't make photo's at birthdays, but last year we did with this milestone.
For the challenge of Scrap the Girls this was the picture to use! Only, what to do with the background? I started out real colourfull and with a lot of stamps, but it didn't turn out as I imagend. And then I thought, I just go along with the flow. What do I really want on my scrap? That became the cupcake of Marianne Design. And then I looked at pink papers, because I like pink. Then I looked at the challenges and the one from My Creative Scrapbook was the one to use. For the background I have used a designpapier from Noor Design with a wood-design. Then I took my Gelliplate Student and Pink Raspberry Distress Ink and made a square on the wood. The script and poststamps really comw out of the papier now. I didn't want a motive in the gelliplate, because the front would be busy already.
Because I scrap at A5 format, I have chosen not to use 16 circles but 9, well 8 accually. The one under the picture would be hidden anyway. Underneath the photo I tapes 2 straps of washitape with silver-white lining. And to finish off, some staples in 2 circles, a lable and the word Hooray.

Oma's trots

Het is een tijdje stiller geweest, maar ik heb niet stil gezeten. 

Ik heb gewoon teveel hobby's, te veel andere dingen en te weinig tijd om alles in te doen. Klinkt dat bekend? 

Voor de verjaardag van mijn schoonmoeder heb ik deze scrap gemaakt van haar 4 kleinzoons. De schets van Let's get Sketchy, May 1st vond ik wel heel leuk om te gebruiken, net als de kleuren van Scrap The Boys. De kleuren pasten goed bij de foto, maar dat komt ook door de jongste vooraan. 

Het groene stippeltjeslint is bedoeld voor cadeautjes, maar het kleurde zo leuk! Onder de foto een doily, hierop een cirkel van groen stipjespapier. De vlaggetjes, blaadjes, memoblaadje en paperclip zijn van Noor Design, de bloem is van Marianne Design. Zoals je ziet, gaan bloemen en jongens prima samen, of zou dat zijn omdat het een cadeau voor oma is? Hihihi. 

It has been quiet for a while, but that doesn't mean that I'm doing nothing. I just have too many hobbies, too much to do and too little time to do it in. Does that sound familiar? 

Fot the birthday of my mother-in-law I have made this scrap of her 4 grandsons. The sketch of Let's get Sketchy, May 1st Challenge was a cute one to use for this, as was the colours of Scrap The Boys. 

The blue and green match well with the picture, especcialy the youngest in the front. 

The green ribbon with the dots is meant for giftwrapping, but the colours were so fun with this! Under the picture there is a doily and a cirkel of green dotted paper on top. The vlags, leafs, noteblock and paperclip are from Noor Design, the flower is from Marianne Desing. As you can see, flowers and boys match well together. Or is it because it's a gift for grandma? LOL

Mijn zusje was afgelopen week 16 jaar getrouwd. En daar hoort natuurlijk een leuke scrap bij. Deze foto is gemaakt in de Efteling in de Gondoletta, waar ze samen in zaten. Romantiek ten top toch. 

 Als uitgangspunt heb ik beide schetsen van Stuck?! Sketches gebruikt. Ik vond ze te leuk om niet te combineren, wat naar mijn idee best mogelijk was. Alleen de doily heb ik vervangen door een groot rood glimmend hart.

De hartjes links onderin en rechts bovenin heb ik gedaan met een mask en Versamagic. Ik vind het zo leuk om het te gebruiken op mijn werk. Ik heb lang zitten twijfelen qua kleur, ga ik voor zoet, ga ik voor pit met veel rood? Maar het is lekker fris geworden door beiden te gebruiken.

Links bovenin vond ik het nog wat leeg, dus heb ik ervoor gekozen om daar nog een clustertje te plaatsen.

My sister had her 16th wedding aniversery last week. And of course, the best gift is a scrap of them together in the Gondoletta in The Efteling, a Dutch amusement parc. How romantic is this picture?

For the scrap I have used both sketches of Stuck?! Sketches, because they are so much fun to use. Only the doily has been replaced by a big red shiny heart.

The little hearts on the top and bottom are made with a Dutch Doobadoo mask and Versamagic ink. I love using it. I have been having trouble by chosing colours. Should I go for a sweet soft layout or for a brighter red layout? So I used both and it turned out rather fresh!
On the top I have made a little cluster, because it was to empty there.

Just the two of us

 Deze foto kreeg ik afgelopen week doorgestuurd van de juf van de oudste. Mijn jongens zijn echte jongens. Ze geven elkaar makkelijk een knuffel, om elkaar meteen daarna onderuit te trappen. Dus dat ze hier samen zo vrolijk op staan, is mij heel dierbaar. Ik moest er daarom ook meteen mee aan de slag.

De challenge van Scrap the Boys past er wel bij. Ik had eigenlijk nog andere foto's in gedachten, maar deze moest het nu worden.
Ook de scrapchallenge van Happy Scrappy bij Raff vond ik leuk ervoor, maar dan zonder de touwtjes. Die vind ik wel leuk, maar het is niet mijn ding.

I got this photo last week from the teacher of my oldest son. My boys are real boys. The can give each other a hug and smac each other in the face right after that. So that they are so joyfull in this picture is very precious to me. I just couldn't resist myself for using this photo.

The challenge of Scrap the Boys had just the right theme for it. I had other photo's in my mind, but this had to be it. Also the challenge on Facebook of appy Scrappy by Raff had a cute scraplift, but without the rope. I kind of like that, but it's not my thing.

Snow much fun

Op 10 december 2017 viel er sneeuw in Nederland. Dat is tegenwoordig best uniek in ons landje. Onze jongens hebben dit nog niet vaak meegemaakt, dus als er sneeuw valt, probeer ik ze ook buiten te laten spelen in hun regenpak, goed aangekleed. De oudste naar buiten krijgen is geen probleem. Hij is echt een buitenkind! Hij houd ervan om in de sneeuw te spelen, sneeuw te schuiven, sneeuwengeltjes te maken. Zijn broertje daarentegen is wat lastiger naar buiten te krijgen, die vind het wel best bij de kachel.

Ik heb natuurlijk meteen de gelegenheid gebruikt om mooie foto's te maken van mijn buitenkind. Vooral de foto waarbij hij op zijn sneeuwschep leunt, daarop kijkt hij zo mooi. Helaas voor jullie heb ik ervoor gekozen om de gezichten te blurren voor hun privacy. Ik zou zeggen, kom op de koffie en je mag het album inzien ;-)

Ik heb ervoor gekozen om mee te doen aan diverse challenges, want dat is zo'n mooie stok achter de deur om iets moois ervan te maken. Ik heb gekozen voor beide challenges van Scrap our Stash en de challenge van Scrap the boys.

Het designpapier wat ik gebruik heb is van Noor Design, mooi van kleur en niet te overheersend bij de foto's. De tekst, slee en sneeuwpop van van Dutch Doobadoo. Omdat bij Scrap The Boys het thema bloemen was, heb ik ervoor gekozen om ijsbloemen te maken, compleet met Eiskristallen langs de randjes. Ik ben zo blij met mijn lay-out, het zal mooi staan in zijn album.

On December 10 2017 is was snowing in The Netherlands and that is quite rare in this country nowadays. Our boys hasn't experienced it a lot, so when there is snow, I send the boys out to play. That's not a problem for our eldest son, he is a real outdoors kid. The youngest prefers to stay inside where it's warm and cosy.

Of course I took the libarty to make some beautfull photo's of my kid. Especcialy the photo where he's leaning on the shovel, is so pretty. So sorry you can't see it, but I've chosen for my kids privacy.

I like to join some challenges for the theme's so I have a deadline to work with. I've chosen both the challenges of Scrap our stash and the challenge of Scrap the Boys.

The designpaper I've used is from Noor Design, the colours here are so pretty and calm. They don't take over the photo's. The sleigh, text and snowman are from Dutch Doobadoo. And the theme at Scrap the Boys is to use flowers, so I've chosen to make frozen flowers with Eiskristallen. I'm so happy with my lay-out, it will look pretty in his book.
